On Wednesday 8th July Caterham SSP were delighted to welcome Chris Tomlinson (Olympic Long and Triple Jump Athlete) to present prizes and gifts to youngsters from the Partnership schools.
Caterham SSP consists of 40 Red-bridge schools who work together to provide sporting opportunities.
Chris spoke to the audience about his career and ambition for the 2012 olympic games. He encouraged the youngsters to reach their full potential and dream through commitment, hard work, dedication and a belief in themselves. He also acknowledged the support from parents, coaches and schools. By using the lines on the hall floor Chris showed the audience the distance he can jump. A very long way!
